Edge of Space Sciences
These guys have a tremendous amount of info on the topic of weather balloon projects. The EOSS Handbook is a definite "must read".

WB8ELK
This gentleman is also definitely an expert on the subject.

These folks have a great web site. Their balloon flights section has lots of information about each of their flights. Their photos are fabulous.

Home of the PongSat project. They encourage students to come up with experiments that will fit into a ping pong ball. They then launch the experiements with their flights and then return the PongSat to the students.

N4TXI (WhereAVR)
Gary Dion N4TXI makes the very handy WhereAVR board. It is an Atmel AVR Atmega8 based board that serves as a TNC. It allows you to both send and receive telemetry. You can do other things with it besides just using it as a TNC. We intended to use one on CarolinaEOS1, but due to builder error (me, not Gary) it will probably fly on CarolinaEOS2. Gary has been extremely helpful.

N1VG (OpenTracker)
N1VG makes the OpenTracker TNC. We will be using this on CarolinaEOS1. This is a great product. It is very reasonably priced and worked great out of the box. We bought ours preassembled in the interest of time. If you enjoy picking up a soldering iron, you can purchase a kit. Scott is also extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with.

CEXX.org
Rodrigo Balerdi
John Maushammer
These three links provide great information about the Dakota digital cameras we are using for our project.

Spherachutes Here is where we got our 48" parachute. They are very helpful. Make sure you specify that you are using it for a balloon project and will be connecting a lanyard at the apex of the parachute canopy. They will sew in a place to attach the lanyard going up from the apex of the parachute canopy to the weather balloon.
